I am still M.I.A. from the digi community.
But I just got an e-mail from Box.net informing me that one of the freebies I had offered almost a year ago was just downloaded!!!
WOW! I Haven't even thought about this blog in forever!!
So far, 2010 has been pretty rough, both physically and mentally.
For starters, My DD had a couple friends over on Jan.6th. A female and a male - though they were not a couple - just friends. First time I had met either of them.
Then on the 8'th, the male came over by himself.....And never left!!!!
Just moved right in...
He was unemployed, and broke....
I even sprinkled salt on him to see if he would disintegrate ( you know, like a leach??) but that didn't help.
So of course, by February DD turns up pregnant!
That's when the fighting began. The two of them were constantly at each other's throughts! The tension around here was so thick.....
She finally kicked him out, and he just left here on April 13'th.
Her pregnancy is progressing uneventfully at least.
While all that mental stress was going on, I started having health issues of my own.
I have been in remission from colo-rectal cancer for 4 years. Was developing symptoms that it was coming back.
Due to all the residual damage caused by both the chemo and the radiation, being retested now is a nightmare!
Had to have a colonoscopy preformed. Normally, these take right around a half hour. Mine took three hours!
My intestinal track has turned leathery from the radiation, and it is now twisted in various points where it shouldn't be.
Then there was the CT scan with contrast dye.
Another test that should have been relatively short; but nope; that took five hours! My veins are all but gone from the chemo, and every time they tried getting the contrast I.V. going, the vein collapsed.
Ended up having to go to the cardiac surgical wing, and having a pick line inserted!
Meanwhile, my arms both turned a deep bluish-purple from all the attempts, and the ruptured veins.
FUN.
After all the testing, the Doctors are telling me that my CEA levels are high, so now they want a PET scan done. But other then that, the cancer does NOT appear to be reoccurring. BUT , They inform me I have Hepatitis C , and my viral load is extremely high.
They took several tubes of blood to do genotype tests. (Basically a DNA of the virus)
Depending on how that turns out, I might have to do weekly injections of anti-viral meds. that will be very similar in side effects as the chemo.
ANYONE WANT TO TRADE LIVES WITH ME ??????
So, with all that going on, I haven't had inspiration to rejoin in the scrapping community.
I do miss it though.
